Someone Found A Dead Frog In A Pret A Manger Salad [PHOTO]
A Wall Street Journal editor posted a photo to Instagram on Monday showing what appears to be a dead frog that cropped up in her colleague's Pret A Manger salad.
It doesn't look very appetizing:
The frog salad came from the Pret location at 47th Street and 6th Avenue, according to Gothamist.
The popular lunch spot issued this statement to Gothamist:
"At Pret A Manger, we take issues like this very seriously. Our lettuce is sourced from farms that do not use any pesticides on its produce, therefore organic matter does very rarely manage to pass through our production process. We are currently looking into this issue to make every effort that this does not happen again."
Frogs have been found in bagged lettuce before, but Pret says its food is "made fresh each day," so someone at the restaurant must have missed it while they were putting the salad together.
