  • Stephen Curry slipped and fell on a wide open, fastbreak dunk attempt.
  • He got back up and tried firing a three-pointer but air-balled it.
  • After the game, he said he wanted to try a dunk he's never done before, "but the Lord wouldn't let me do it."

Stephen Curry is prone to creating some of the most memorable highlights each NBA season, but on Monday, he may have accidentally created the best blooper.

In the third quarter, Curry stole the ball from the Los Angeles Lakers and found himself with a wide open, resistance-free path to the basket. Curry gathered himself near the basket to go for what looked like a rare dunk attempt, planted his feet, then slipped and fell on his back.

He recovered the ball and retreated to the corner to fire a three, but he ended up air-balling it.

This is sure to be on "Shaqtin' a Fool."

Fortunately, Curry didn't get hurt while slipping on the wet spot. And luckily for the Warriors, they were routing the Lakers and won the game, 130-111.

After the game, Curry admitted the back-to-back plays were "hilarious," then said it happens to the best of players. He said he wanted to try a dunk he had never tried in-game before but "the Lord wouldn't let me do it."

Warriors coach Steve Kerr added: "We all have our embarrassing moments in this league if you play long enough."
