Sumi Ghosh would be the new CEO of Tata Starbucks from 1st January. She’ll be replacing Avani Davda at the position.

Ghosh has served as the Vice President of the US-Midwest for Starbucks. Davda has been heading the company’s India division since its inception three years ago.

"As Starbucks' fastest-growing new market, I could not be more optimistic about the significant opportunities ahead of us," Davda said in a letter to colleagues on Thursday. "Nevertheless, I have been carefully considering my own career aspirations as we turn the corner on this next important stage of Tata-Starbucks growth."

Starbucks posted per-store sales that were more than two-and-a-half times higher than its largest rival during its second year of India operations.
