Ex-Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer on Wednesday launched an AI app called Sunshine Contacts to automatically fix users' contact list, saying it was the first in a series of products from her new company, Sunshine.

Sunshine marks Mayer's first venture since 2017, when Verizon bought Yahoo for $4.48 billion and Mayer stepped down from her role as president and CEO. Her Yahoo severance package was about $23 million.

Sunshine Contacts will work with both Gmail and Apple's Contacts app to rearrange contacts, remove duplicates, and make sure other information is up to date.

Mayer and co-founder Enrique Muñoz Torres said in a blog post on Wednesday. "Once contacts are added to your phone, they often don't get touched again, despite almost continuous change... With Sunshine Contacts, you'll always have the most accurate details at your fingertips – complete and in one organized place."

Sunshine Contacts is a free download, but it's launching as invitation-only.
