The Nintendo Switch is winning the attention of more and more game developers
A video game platform lives or dies by the amount of games available to play - and the PC, Sony PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch are leading the pack in terms of game developer interest.
The data comes from a recent survey by the Game Developers Conference, which measured both the interest in working on these platforms from gaming developers, as well as the extent to which they're already developing for them.
As this chart by Statista shows, the biggest up-and-comer is the Nintendo Switch, which has attracted tremendous attention from developers in the mere months since its March 2017 launch. Perhaps because of its relatively newness, it only has a slim number of developers currently working on the platform. However, it places third in terms of developer interest, behind only the Windows PC and Sony PlayStation 4, indicating that there could be a boom of new Switch titles on the way.
