The US government is suing Harley-Davidson for violating federal air pollution laws, Bloomberg first reported.
The lawsuit alleges that the motorcycle maker's "Screamin' Eagle" after-market engine tuners are emissions-control defeat devices. The government is seeking a court order to bar Harley-Davidson from making, selling, or installing the tuners and is seeking financial penalties.
Harley-Davidson did not immediately respond to request for comment.
