Trump celebrates Halloween by handing out candy to kids at the White House
Halloween is a fun tradition that has been honored by presidential administrations at the White House for 60 years.
President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took a traditional route for decorating the White House for Halloween this year.
Their administration decorated the South Portico with pumpkins, hay bales and cornstalks that wrapped around the White House's tall columns.
Kids dressed as superheroes, dinosaurs, and vampires for the trick-or-treating event.

The Trumps held Sunday night’s event from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Children streamed by as the First couple gave out candy from their baskets.
The Trumps didn't wear costumes, but they admired the children's choices.
Despite not dressing up themselves, the Trumps were very festive, with spooky music playing, an orange carpet for kids to walk down, and a white sign that read "Halloween."
The U.S. Air Force Band provided music for the Halloween event.
The band played Halloween-themed music, including the Harry Potter theme song, as children took candy from the Trumps, according to The Hill.
The White House said military families and local children attended the event.
The children and parents were allowed entry through tickets from the Department of Education and the White House Military Office, USA Today reported.
Kids had a number of Halloween activities to engage in on the South Lawn.
The South Lawn was filled with activities for the children.
The event also featured a moon carpet from NASA, a tractor from the Department of Agriculture, and emergency vehicles from the Department of Health and Human Services, USA Today reported.
The Trumps were all smiles as they handed out candy.
It appeared that rain held off as the Trumps celebrated Halloween on Sunday, despite it being in the forecast for Washington, DC.

The chocolate bars Trump handed out to children featured the Presidential Seal, as well as his signature.
Secret Service agents also attended the Halloween event.
As trick-or-treaters lined up to meet the president and first lady, Secret Service Police were close by to keep an eye on security.
When the sun set, the White House's Halloween decorations lit up.
The Trumps continued to hand out candy after dark, and lights illuminated the pumpkins and corn stalks decorating the White House.
