After scoring the match winning runs in the match against Australia and having everyone go gaga over him from Ravi Shastri to Sachin Tendulkar, Indian cricketer and man of the moment Virat Kohli now features in Adidas’ latest campaign #FeelLoveUseHateA fiery persona on the field and a youth icon off it, Kohli has always been a polarising figure. On one hand are ardent, screaming fans who adore his every move, every shot. While on the other hand, are critics and naysayers who never cease pointing fingers and question him every step of the way. Virat, however embraces them both. The love that he receives helps him soar, while the hatred that he inspires challenges him and propels him into greatness.
And, as it turns out that is the core idea that the film revolves around. It delves into the duality that is part of his everyday life.
The film also showcases Kohli’s unwavering grit that allows him to stay calm in the presence of this storm of emotions and concentrate on what matters most – his game. He uses the love and hate that comes his way and turns them into his fuel. With him at its centre, the campaign celebrates the binary of Love and Hate, an athlete’s most powerful catalysts.
