Why you should be extra nice to your tech team next Tuesday
Many people that work for the IT departments of businesses say they don't feel very appreciated by their employers or co-workers, and that their colleagues don't fully understand what they do and how hard they work.
So a company called SolarWinds that runs a social network for IT Pros is trying to change that by creating the first-ever IT Pro Day.
It's scheduled for Tuesday, September 15.
On IT Pro Day, you are supposed to be nice to your IT people. Like maybe send a cute geeky eCard like this one:
Or take a great photo of your IT team and tweet it to@solarwind #ITProDay between now and September 15 to maybe win $1,000 for the IT team.
And if that hasn't convinced to be nice to your IT folk on September 15, maybe this bizarre music video will do the trick. (The refrain of this song? "Turn it off and on again before you call IT ...")
