Yahoo just disclosed its news application, which will suggest you news based on algorithms and what’s trending worldover. The new app-Yahoo Newsroom-works on same algorithms as Facebook and Google and the app is available on Android as well as iOS.

This app will send you personalized news based on your content choices and searches. It will also update you about breaking news and whatever goes viral.

"In moving to a very community powered approach, we wanted to give the app a distinct identity around news and a place where people are going to come to have conversations around news," Yahoo vice president Simon Khalaf told in unveiling the application.

Yahoo claimed over 300 million people visited its online venues every month and shared opinions about several stories, including news.

"It is a very common and predictable cycle: read, watch, react and repeat. The all-new Yahoo Newsroom makes it easier to discover content relevant to you, and to participate in conversations around issues you are passionate about," Yahoo told AFP.

Through this application, you will be able to explore topics.
