"Game of Thrones" has literally put travel destinations on the map, like Meteora and Dubrovnik. But one place in particular has really benefited from HBO's smash hit.
A recent article in GQ explored the town of Osuna, Spain. Until the crew from Westeros came around, Osuna was struggling. The 2008 global economic crisis hit the small town hard. According to GQ, it had the highest unemployment rate in all of Spain.
Now, thanks to the show, it is on the verge of a major comeback. Tourists are flocking to the ancient town to walk in Tyrion Lannister and the Mother of Dragons' footsteps.
Here is a brief tour of Osuna, and its role on "Game of Thrones:"
