Here’s how Samsung is tackling DGCA’s ban on Galaxy Note 7 in flights

After the Directorate General of Civil Aviation ("The company has informed us that the new phones will have green color battery indicators instead of white. These battery indicators will differentiate new Galaxy Note 7 phones from the old," a DGCA official, who did not want to be identified, told ET.
A written undertaking to the aviation regulator has also been given by the company which assures that the new devices will be safe to use.
The smartphone giant in return has also asked the authorities to reconsider over the September 9th advisory that barred passengers from carrying
"Samsung and DGCA will meet, where Samsung executives will examine the device and battery in detail, which will be provided to them after basic clean up," a person aware of the developments told ET, asking not be named.

35 cases of the device blasting when charged have already been reported. Samsung investigated the problem and founds that faulty batteries were causing the incidents. The South Korean phone manufacturer announced a recall of 1million Note 7 devices, owing to safety concerns.
Samsung had already sold more than 2.5 million units, till the time of the recall.
The sales have been delayed by the company in India, which was supposed to give them an edge over rival
