Good morning! Here's the technology news you need to know today.

1. The European Court of Justice ruled that the "Safe Harbor" agreement used by US tech companies to send data between the US and Europe is invalid. That could cause trouble for companies like Facebook and Google if European countries insist they store European user data locally.

2. Microsoft held an event yesterday in which it revealed that it's releasing a laptop known as the Surface Book. The 13-inch device's screen can be detached to use like a tablet.

3. Apple is planning to launch the iPad Pro in early November, and will also launch a new 4K iMac next week. The new iMacs will have upgraded screens and graphics cards.

4. Reddit has launched its own news site. Upvoted writers will find content on Reddit and then write about it for the website.

5. The New York attorney general is investigating whether employees of rival fantasy football sites DraftKings and FanDuel won money by betting on insider information. Many employees reportedly played and won money on rival sites.

6. Microsoft's holographic headset, Microsoft HoloLens, will be released to developers in Q1 2016. It will cost developers $3,000 (£1,965) to buy one of the early units.

7. Pandora is reportedly close to spending $450 million (£294 million) on acquiring ticketing startup Ticketfly. The company plans to pay for the deal using both cash and stock.

8. Apple has approved an app that blocks ads on apps like Facebook and Apple News, not just Safari. Been Choice uses a combination of an ad blocker and a VPN service.

9. The US government will auction $10 million (£6.5 million) worth of bitcoin seized from Silk Road. It's the final batch of Bitcoin seized from the site.
