8. You can pinch to zoom on photos and videos in Instagram now. The feature was made available via an iPhone app update on Wednesday. Support for the Android app will be added in the "coming weeks."
9. Uber generated $449 million (£342 million) in revenue over the last two years from its "safe ride" fees, according to a report from Bloomberg. The $1-per-ride fee, originally introduced in April 2014, was a way for Uber to recoup the costs of running its background checks and providing 24/7 support to its riders.
