18-year-old Slovenian prospect who might be the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft swished one of the longest shots you'll see
- Slovenian star Luka Doncic made a buzzer-beating basket from nearly full court on Thursday.
- It looked to have been close to the longest shot in NBA history, which was recorded at 89 feet.
Luka Doncic, the 18-year-old Slovenian star who might go No. 1 in this year's NBA Draft, hit the rarest of shots on Thursday: the full-courter.
Doncic, who plays professionally for Real Madrid, took an inbound pass with 1.5 seconds remaining in the third quarter and launched the ball nearly the full 92 feet of the court.
And he didn't just bank it in - it was a full swish.
Check it out:
As SB Nation's Jon Bois detailed, former NBA point guard Baron Davis' 89-foot buzzer-beater remains the longest shot in league history. Doncic's shot seems about on par with Davis', so perhaps when he makes the NBA, he'll have a shot at breaking Davis' record.
