25,000 DDA Flats Up for Grabs!

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched a new housing scheme, offering about 25,000 flats. Most of the flats are single-bedroom units, and will be located in Rohini, Dwarka and Narela.Registrations for the flats will start from September 1 and will continue till October 9. The draw will be held within 20 days of the end of the registration process. The DDA has appointed an independent agency to ensure transparency in the process.
There is no provision for any reservation for the residents of Delhi in the allotment process. All Indian citizens above the age of 18 are eligible to apply for the flats. The applicants will be required provide PAN Card and Aadhar Card details along with the application form. The applicant shouldn’t have any property registered in his or her name in Delhi.
Out of the total of 25,034 flats, 22,627 will be two-room sets with single bedroom and a drawing room. The price is likely to remain between Rs 14 and 22 lakhs. The housing scheme will also include 700 flats for the economically weaker sections.
The DDA will also allot 811 old flats in different categories after completely renovating them. The old flats would be priced at a depreciation rate of 1.25% per annum.

The DDA has also set aside a sum of Rs 362 crore for the maintenance of these flats after allotment.
