Clothes
As you will be climbing huge mountains and crossing rivers, jeans would be quite uncomfortable. Go for something loose like track pants. You can even carry shorts but be mindful of the temperature. So, pack at least 2 track pants and 4 tees if you are going for 3-4 days. Keep at least 4 pair of socks as they can get wet while crossing the river. Girls! You are not going in heels as sports shoes should be the only option. Do keep a raincoat and one jacket would do.
Food items
As you go higher, your body needs more energy. Keep energy bars, chocolates, toffees such as granula bars, snickers for immediate burst of energy. You can pack wafers also but since you will pass food stalls, you can buy chips from there too
Water
Nothing can beat water. It is very important as it will keep you hydrated. You can keep energy drinks also to keep going
Toiletries, medicines and sunglasses
You must keep medicines for headache, fever, stomach upset with you. Also, do not forget to carry band-aids and an ointment in case you get inflammation. A good anti-perspirant is a must as you will sweat a lot and it is hard to find hot water to bathe. Keep hand sanitizer, hand towel and toilet paper for sure. Sunglasses are a must as you don’t want sunlight to be glaring in your eyes.

There are no streetlights on quaint trails and you will need a torch to guide you in the night time. Don’t depend on the smartphone’s torch as you would like to save some battery. Keeping empty carry bags will also be helpful as you don’t want to litter the meadows. Also, if by chance your tee gets wet or spoiled, you can keep it in them. Don’t forget the camera, as trekking is worth capturing on the lens.
