A man was shot dead by police in north London after an 'intelligence-led operation'

Police shot and killed man in north London after carrying out an "intelligence-led operation" on Friday morning.
Armed officers swooped on an area in Wood Green, north London, and the man was shot at around 9am.
There are currently no reports of any other injuries.
In a statement on its website the Metropolitan Police said:
- Police have carried out an intelligence led operation in the area of Bracknell Close, N22 this morning (11 December).
- Armed officers were in attendance.
- At approximately 09:00hrs a man received gunshot wounds. He has since died.
- No reports of any other injuries.
- London's Air Ambulance and London Ambulance Service are in attendance.
- Enquiries into the circumstances continue.
- The Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Police Complaints Commission have been informed.
- The incident is not terrorist related.
