There has been a slight fall in the number of complaints regarding the quality of food served on Air India's domestic flights, which came down to 31 in the previous fiscal from 34 in the year-ago period.

In the month of November 2015, the number of complaints regarding the food quality was limited to six, which did not account for even 3% the total 252 complaints that the airline had received.

Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma said that surprised meal checks are carried out at the airline's premises so that the quality, quantity and presentation of food given to passengers can be uplifted.
