Cottonseed oil cake futures drop on muted demand

New Delhi, Feb 28 () Cottonseed oil cake prices on Friday eased by Rs 26 to Rs 1,524 per quintal in futures trade as participants reduced their bets tracking a weak trend at spot market.

Market players said sell-off by participants at existing levels amid subdued trend in market mainly weighed on cottonseed oil cake prices.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, cottonseed oil cake to be delivered in March fell by Rs 26, or 1.68 per cent, to Rs 1,524 per quintal with an open interest of 82,190 lots.

Cottonseed oil cake for delivery in April fell by Rs 24, or 1.53 per cent, to Rs 1,545 per quintal in 38,200 lots. VHP SHWSHW
