Guar gum futures slump 1.22 pc on low demand

New Delhi, Jan 30 () Guar gum prices on Wednesday slumped by Rs 87 to Rs 7,030 per five quintal in futures market as traders offloaded their positions tracking weak trend in spot market.

Marketmen said trimming of positions by participants amid weak demand dragged down guar gum prices here.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for February delivery slipped by Rs 87, or 1.22 per cent, to Rs 7,030 per five quintal in 30,815 lots.

Guar gum contracts for March delivery eased by Rs 85, or 1.18 per cent, to Rs 7,115 per five quintal in 35,850 lots. VHP RUJ RUJ
