Refined soya oil futures fall on sluggish demand

New Delhi, Apr 1 () Refined soya oil prices on Wednesday fell Rs 17.2 to Rs 812.6 per 10 kg in futures trade as speculators reduced holdings amid subdued demand in spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in April declined by Rs 17.2, or 2.07 per cent, to Rs 812.6 per 10 kg in 36,115 lots.

Refined soya oil contracts for May dropped by Rs 21.2, or 2.63 per cent, to Rs 785.2 per 10 kg in 15,325 lots.

Market analysts said cutting down of positions by participants against ample stocks mainly influenced refined soya oil prices. VHP RUJRUJ
