Soybean futures climb on robust demand
New Delhi, Mar 19 () Soybean prices on Thursday rose 2.48 per cent to Rs 3,560 per quintal in futures market as traders created fresh positions on spot demand.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, soybean for March delivery rose by Rs 86, or 2.48 per cent, to Rs 3,560 per quintal with an open interest of 35 lots.

Soybean for April delivery went up by Rs 4, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 3,400 per quintal with an open interest of 1,19,805 lots.

Market players said raising of fresh positions by speculators on the back of higher demand mainly led to rise in soybean prices. VHP SHWSHW
