In Madhya Pradesh, BJP has won 28 seats while INC has secured only one seat.

The State of Madhya Pradesh gives 29 seats for the Lok Sabha in the largest democracy. 6 constituencies went for polling on April 29. 7 constituencies voted for the 2019 general elections on May 6. For 8 constituencies, the polling was held on May 12 and the remaining 8 constituencies voted for the parliamentary elections on May 19.

Madhya Pradesh provided a highly favorable scene for the BJP during the 2014 general elections and gave the party an overwhelming victory from 27 out of the total 29 constituencies in the state. The Congress could win only from 2 seats during these elections. During 2009 elections for the parliament, 16 Lok Sabha elections were claimed by BJP and 12 by the Congress party.

In the Bhopal constituency, the senior leader of Congress Digvijay Singh is seen in a tough battle with Pragya Singh Thakur of BJP. Jyotiraditya Scindia of INC is now contesting once again from the Guna Lok Sabha seat for the 2019 elections locking horns with BJP’s KP Yadav. Notably, this is Yadav’s first Lok Sabha election. The sitting MP from Gwalior Narendra Singh Tomar is contesting now from Morena this time. In Bhopal, there are 30 nominees for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 and 25 in Morena with 18 each in the list in Bhind and Gwalior.
