The two variations of engineering courses are B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering) and B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology). Usually, after your plus two, you must take an engineering entrance examination conducted in the state level or national level. Bachelor of Technology is a graduate level program that you can pursue after you pass your 12th class board examinations. To get an entry to a bachelor of technology course, you must take a state level or national level entrance test (depending on the case of the course you wish to join). These common entrance examinations secure you an entry into the different bachelor's programs in technology offered by different colleges and institutes.
The main focus of the B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering Programs is to equip the student with the theoretical knowledge needed to innovate technology and also invent some new technical gadgets.	B. Tech (Bachelor of Technology programs are usually application and skill-based courses. Their prime focus is on making the student understand the technology behind the working of gadgets and modify or enhance their quality of working.
B.E. Programs are knowledge oriented courses and the main emphasis of these courses is the theoretical side of the curriculum.	B.Tech programs are skill oriented courses. They mainly emphasize on the practical side of the curriculum.
