Hrithik Roshan got his mojo back with War and Super 30 — and is the sexiest Asian man of the last decade

• And, it is not just for 2019. Roshan, who rocked the salt and pepper look in action thriller ‘War’, was also voted the sexiest man of the decade.

Just when people thought things couldn’t get any better for Hrithik Roshan -- they did. After delivering two super hit movies this year, he was voted as the Sexiest Asian Male of 2019 by British news weekly 'Eastern Eye'.

And, it is not just for 2019. Roshan, who rocked the salt and pepper look in action thriller ‘War’, was also voted the sexiest man of the decade.

"I would like to thank everyone who feels so and has voted for me; I am flattered," said Roshan told the media.

The 45-year-old actor made a comeback this year after his last release Kaabil in 2017 flopped. Added to that, Roshan also went through multiple personal crises as he was accused of ill-treatment by top actress Kangana Ranaut.

But this year, his breakthrough movie Super 30 which is a biopic on math teacher Anand Kumar did brisk business earning ₹200 crore in addition to being critically acclaimed. The movie was followed up by War which earned over ₹300 crore.

“Hrithik is the most voted for star since the list was founded 16 years ago and consistently shown there is more to him than the Greek God looks, and physique,” said Asjad Nazir, the author at Eastern Eye.

Roshan was written off by critics after three of his big budget movies had flopped in the last five years. Apart from Kaabil, movies like Mohenjo Daro in 2016 and Bang Bang in 2014 did not ring the cash registers.

This year however, Roshan is the top star of the year as his movies earned a massive ₹500 crore.

Shahid Kapoor comes in second
The next actor on the list Shahid Kapoor also made a comeback this year with a controversial yet popular movie, Kabir Singh. Kapoor was also ranked the sexist man in the same list in 2017.

Television actor Vivian Dsena ranked third while Roshan’s co-actor in War -- Tiger ,Shroff made his debut on the list at the fourth place British Asian popstar Zayn Malik came in at the fifth position.

“The men featured in 2019 were connected by the fact they all went beyond their stardom and looks to make a positive impact. That is what really sexiness is about and why this list connects with millions around the world,” said Nazir.

Besides Roshan, the top 10 list is dominated by actors and singers except Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli, who was ranked seventh.
