When it comes to the economies growth, the year 2013 was not the best year for India. Most would like to forget the slow year quickly to concentrate on the future and brighter 2014. However, a recent study done by careesma.in revealed that the job market did not slow down, despite the slow performing nation. The The IT, BPO and Banking sectors picked up as the year passed and contributed largely to the job cycle.
As far as the tier 2 cities were concerned, Ahemdabad is leading the charge followed by Indore and Jaipur. Together these 3 cities offered around 2.5 lakh jobs. Pharmaceuticals and BPO sectors had the most to offer in these cities.

However, if we compare the percentage of population growth in the country the gap seems to be large. The challenge of generating more jobs is in front of the government as well. People are hopeful that more public jobs will be created after the nationwide elections of 2014.
