From Twitter to Snapdeal: Rahul Ganjoo has come a long way

Rahul Ganjoo, an ex Twitter employee, is now the new vice president in the technology team of Snapdeal. As the New Delhi based online marketplace expands its portfolio, Ganjoo will be responsible for building and improving customer experience across the company's various platforms, while also focusing on program management.

"Rahul's expertise in identifying, monitoring, rationalizing and controlling the interdependencies between projects will ensure optimal utilisation of resources which will enhance efficiencies of our platform," Rohit Bansal, co-founder and chief operating officer, Snapdeal, said.

Before joining Snapdeal, Ganjoo has experience in on large-scale spam and targeted abuse at the San Francisco office of the micro-blogging site Twitter.

"My focus will be on institutionalising best of breed product development practices to ensure Snapdeal is a world-class engineering organisation. I am looking forward to contributing to Snapdeal's vision of creating the most impactful digital ecommerce system by closing the gap between strategy and execution," Ganjoo said.
Snapdeal has been poaching top-level technology talent from Silicon Valley as well as from India as it looks to build a complete eco-system of e-commerce goods and services.
