Expectations are for home prices to rise 0.6% over last month and 4.3% over the prior year.
In October, home prices rose 0.76% over the prior month and 4.5% over the prior year.
The latest Case-Shiller report, which is a lagging indicator of the housing market, comes on what has already been a tough morning for the economy, with durable goods orders disappointing hugely and Caterpillar's earnings report giving a downbeat outlook for global growth in 2015.
