Japanese auto major Honda is looking to pump in a fresh Rs 4,000 crores for a third factory in India. This time it’s Gujarat.

The company is in the process of acquiring land for the new manufacturing plant. This one will also focus on exports, thanks to its proximity to the port.

The motor company plans to double its India production with the new plant to 6 lakh units though it is set to happen in phases.
The company's Greater Noida plant has the capacity to produce 1.2 lakh cars annually, while its Tapukara unit can churn out an equal number.
