Hyundai Launches The Xcent Mid Size Sedan For Rs 4.66 Lakh

Hyundai cars have been a household name in India for more than a decade. The company understands the pulse of the nation and delivers top class cars in the budget, mid and premium segments. Today Hyundai launched a car called Xcent, which has the capacity to solidify its position in the sub 4 metre range.

This car has been built just for India since our government gives special subsidies to vehicles within the 4 metre bracket. The new car is stunning to look at. The Xcent is available in two engine variants the 1.1 litre second generation U2 CRDi diesel and the 1.2 litre Kappa dual VTVT petrol. Its price starts from Rs 4.66 lakh (petrol variant) and Rs 5.56 lakh (diesel variant), both ex-showroom Delhi.

Hyundai India claims that the Diesel version of the car will give a mileage of 24.4 KMPL and the petrol one will provide 19.1 KMPL. With the five speed manual transmission option available in both diesel and petrol version, there is a four speed automatic variant available in petrol as well. Overall, launching this car seems to be a good move by Hyundai. Now they can bring the fight to Maruti Suzuki Desire and Honda Amaze, who have been doing fairly well in this sector.
