India has gone berserk at the
Mi Redmi Note 3 launch. The company Vice President
Hugo Barra claimed the company received a whopping 8000 fan registrations for the launch event in the last 3 days.
Reminiscent of the Apple launch days, the first Mi fan arrived as early as 2:30am when the registration only started at 12:30pm! The glitzy launch event in Delhi also boasted of India's largest 4K LED screen.
The company announced 2 weeks ago that its Redmi Note 3 smartphone will be launched in India on March 3. The device is the company's first phone with a fingerprint sensor and a full-metal body.
The model has been launched in India and is powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 and sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display. It comes in 2GB/16GB and 3GB/32GB memory options, and packs in a 4,050mAh battery.
