Coronavirus patient commits suicide in Bengaluru, Karnataka
Bengaluru, Apr 27 () A 50-year old coronaviruspatient allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a hospital building here on Monday, police said. The patient jumped from the trauma ward of the Victoria Hospital, a senior police official said.

According to hospital sources, the man, who wasadmitted with acute respiratory problem on Friday, was also suffering from kidney problems.

This morning, he jumped off the fifth floor of the building, they said.

Further investigations are on, police said.

Bengaluru, Apr 25 () Fifteen new cases of coronavirushave been confirmed in Karnataka, taking the total number ofinfections in the state to 489, the health department said onSaturday."15 new positive cases have been reported from lastevening till this noon....Till date 489 COVID-19 positivecases have been confirmed.

This includes 18 deaths and 153 discharges," thedepartment said in its mid-day situation update.

Out of 15 new cases, six each are from Bengaluru urbanand Hirebagewadi in Belagavi district; one each from Mandya,Chikkaballapura and Bantawala in Dakshina Kannada district.

Five out of six confirmed for infection in Bengaluru arecontacts of a 54-year-old labourer, who tested positiveearlier this week; while the other is said to have historyfrom visit to BBMP Containment Zones.
