Eight new COVID-19 cases confirmed in K'taka; total infections rises to 520

Bengaluru, Apr 28 () Eight new cases of coronavirushave been confirmed in Karnataka, taking the total number ofinfections in the state to 520, the Health department said onTuesday.

"8 new positive cases have been reported from lastevening to this noon...

Till date 520 COVID-19 positive caseshave been confirmed.

This includes 20 deaths and 198 discharges," thedepartment said its mid-day situation report.

Out of 8 new cases, six are from Kalaburagi and all arecontacts of a patient already tested positive.

Among them four are women.

Of the fresh cases is a man from Bengaluru urban, who wasin contact with those in containment zone of BBMP Ward-135;and the other from Gadag, who has history of Severe AcuteRespiratory Infection (SARI). KSUROH ROH
