Lockdown: Soren urges Patnaik to help migrant workers stranded in Odisha's Jharsuguda
Ranchi, Apr 11 () Jharkhand Chief Minister HemantSoren on Saturday requested his Odisha counterpart NaveenPatnaik to extend help to migrant workers who are stranded inJharsuguda district in the neighbouring state due to thenationwide lockdown, an official release said on Saturday.

Expressing his gratitude to Patnaik for assistingother migrant workers from Jharkhand, Soren said 25 labourersfrom Garhwa district are stranded in Jharsuguda without food,it said.

Meanwhile, the Jharkhand government revoked thelicense of a ration shop dealer in Hazaribagh district forallegedly duping customers, a release said.

The ration dealer was giving less quantity offoodgrains than the quota of ration cardholders in Bhelwaravillage in Bishnugarh block and also misbehaved with peoplewho demanded the entire allocation of 35 kg, it said.

The license was suspended under the National FoodSecurity Act with immediate effect following the instructionsof Chief Minister Hemant Soren, it added. PVRACD ACD
