​IndiGo Strengthens Its Domestic Network, Announces Launch Of Four New Flights

In a bid to strengthen its position as the fastest growing airline in India, the country’s largest low-cost airline IndiGo announced the operation of 500 daily flights with launch of four new flights connecting Delhi, Jammu, Pune and Chennai.

The airline will start a second daily non-stop flight between Delhi and Jammu effective from June 10. IndiGo will also introduce a third daily non-stop flight between Pune and Chennai from June 15.

The addition of these new proposed services would take the airline's total number of flights to 502 across 36 destinations in India and neighbouring overseas markets, IndiGo said in a release.

Aditya Ghosh, president and executive director of IndiGo, said in the release, "With the launch of 500th daily flight on our network, we feel encouraged by our customer's support that has helped us achieve this distinction in a short period of time.”

“These new flights have been added basis encouraging feedback by our passengers, especially from Jammu and Pune. It is our constant endeavour to provide more flexibility and choice for our customers as IndiGo continues to offer them on time, hassle free and always affordable flying experiences,” he added.

The airline last month announced the launch of its 'Family Fares', which offer discounts up to 25% for a family of four or more travelling together in a single PNR, for a maximum of nine passengers, subject to availability. The offer is applicable across all domestic flights and destinations.
