Israel kept up a bombing campaign in Gaza on Wednesday, toppling several high-rise buildings and killing dozens of civilians.
Meanwhile, Israel said 1,600 rockets have been fired by Hamas, but its Iron Dome missile-defense system intercepted about 90% of them.
The attacks started after Israeli police clashed with Palestinian worshippers over plans to evict Palestinian families in a Jerusalem neighborhood.
