LIVE: Here come Alphabet's Q2 earnings
After a sluggish start to 2019, Alphabet, the parent company of the internet search giant Google, is looking for a rebound on its second-quarter earnings report after the market closes on Thursday.
All eyes will be on whether the search giant can post better than expected ad revenue numbers after a big miss last quarter.
Also looming is a potential antitrust investigation that is reportedly being prepared against the company by the Department of Justice. Should the probe be confirmed on Thursday, Alphabet's stock could take a hit regardless of its numbers.
Here's what analysts expect Alphabet to report:
Net Revenue (excluding traffic acquisition costs): $30.84 billion
Q1 EPS (GAAP): $11.19
