LIVE: Here come Microsoft earnings

Join us live as Microsoft reports earnings for its December quarter after the bell.

Microsoft is coming into this earnings season from a position of strength: Microsoft currently holds the title of world's most valuable company, with Amazon in a very close second.

Wall Street will be looking for Microsoft to entrench its position by showing further signs of growth in its cloud computing businesses - mainly the Azure cloud platform and the Office 365 cloud computing suite. Because this quarter included the holiday shopping season, expectations are also high for the Xbox and Surface PC businesses.

Specifically, here's what Wall Street is expecting to see:

• Earnings of $1.09 per share.
• Revenue of $32.5 billion.
