According to the report, 11.3% of people in the US access the internet exclusively through a mobile device like a smartphone or tablet. Just 10.6% access only on a desktop PC. It's the first time mobile-only users surpassed desktop-only users in the US.

The gap was much wider a year ago. In April 2014, 17.6% of US internet users accessed the internet exclusively from desktop, while 10.6% only used mobile devices.
