More Than 65% Orders Are Placed Through Mobiles, Says Snapdeal

eCommerce company Snapdeal has said that it gets more than 65% of its total orders through mobile devices. It also said that the last year was a ‘phenomenal’ one for the company. The online marketplace also claimed that it was also one of the five most searched sites on the Internet last year.
“Snapdeal grew over 600% this year (2014) becoming the fastest growinge-commerce company in India and a leader in m-commerce with over 65% of the orders coming from mobile devices,” Snapdeal co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Kunal Bahl said.
“We were among the top-five most searched sites on the internet in India in 2014. Because of your continued support, 2014 was a phenomenal year for Snapdeal and all our merchant partners,” he said in a letter to Snapdeal customers.
Bahl also said that more new categories would be launched in 2015. He also claimed that the site has reached 40 million people. Outlining the company’s vision, Bahl said, “Our vision is to create one million online entrepreneurs in India and to reach this goal we will continue to innovate to enhance your online shopping experience and our merchants selling experience on Snapdeal.”
