Nintendo just announced a mess of new stuff - from a brand new game starring Luigi to a long-awaited new entry in the "Animal Crossing" franchise. And that's barely scratching the surface!
In just over half an hour in a "Nintendo Direct" video presentation on Thursday evening, Nintendo pulled back the curtain on a variety of exciting new games coming to the Nintendo Switch this year and next.
Let's dive in:

1. A new "Luigi's Mansion" game, this time for the Nintendo Switch.
2. A brand new "Animal Crossing" game.

3. A new game for the Nintendo Switch from the company that makes Pokémon games, Game Freak.
4. A new-ish Super Mario game for the Switch that collects two old games into one package — with some bonus features.

5. NES-style gamepads that physically attach to the Switch, giving it a delightfully retro look.
6. A ton of "Final Fantasy" games are coming to the Switch.

7. Against all odds, the Nintendo 3DS is continuing to get new games.
8. A new version of cult-classic "Katamari Damacy" is coming to the Switch this year.
