Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has defended the man suspected of leaking top-secret Pentagon documents, saying he is "white, male, Christian, and anti-war."

Writing on Twitter, Greene said that this makes Jack Teixeira "an enemy to the Biden regime."

Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard's 102nd Intelligence Wing, was arrested on Thursday in "connection with an investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention, and transmission of classified national defense information," Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Thursday.

Greene said, "He told the truth about troops being on the ground in Ukraine and a lot more.

Ask yourself who is the real enemy?"

The leaked documentation shows a range of information about the US military involvement overseas, including how the US keeps tabs on allies and partners like Ukraine, South Korea, and Israel, Insider's John Haltiwanger and Sonam Sheth report.

According to CNN, the documents also suggest the US may have been spying on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and monitoring his desire to use drones to strike Russian troops based in Russia who were likely headed for Ukraine.

Other documents also appear to analyze Ukraine's military capabilities after a year of a brutal war, suggesting issues with air defenses and munitions supplies as Kyiv prepares for a renewed push from Russia.

One document also appears to detail a plan to persuade Israel to provide lethal aid to Ukraine, per Haltiwanger and Sheth.

In a press conference on Monday, after the leak had happened but before Teixeria was arrested, Chris Meagher, assistant to the secretary of defense for public affairs, said that the leaked documents "present a very serious risk to national security."

Teixeira, whose identity was first reported by The New York Times on Thursday, is believed to be the leader of a private group on the gamer messaging platform Discord called Thug Shaker Central, according to The Washington Post.

The New York Times used details like photos of a kitchen countertop and his gaming username to trace him. Teixeira was sitting on his porch reading when he was arrested at his home and taken into custody by FBI agents.

Tyler Ellinwood, 24, a resident of North Dighton, Massachusetts, who went to high school with Teixeira, told Insider that Teixeira "only hung out the with kids that were very gung-ho about going into the military after high school."
