Bollywood actor Salman Khan, or controversy’s favourite child as he is alternatively called, has landed himself in trouble once again, and unlike his past face-offs with controversies, he can’t claim to be drunk, unaware, or not responsible.
Khan, who is busy promoting his upcoming film Sultan, which hits the theatres this Eid, has compared his post-shoot self to a raped woman who can’t walk straight because of the pain; yes, that happened for real.
When asked about the difficulties he faced while shooting for the movie based on the life of an Olympian wrestler, this is what Khan had to say, "While shooting, during those six hours, there'd be so much of lifting and thrusting on the ground involved. That was tough for me because if I was lifting, I'd have to lift the same 120-kilo guy 10 times for 10 different angles. And likewise, get thrown that many times on the ground. This act is not repeated that many times in the real fights in the ring. When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn't walk straight. I would eat and then, head right back to training. That couldn't stop."
The 50-year old actor has thus compared his pain to that of a raped woman, something that hasn't gone down well with many, resulting in an uproar on social media, with people taking a dig at his selection of words and using something as sensitive as ‘rape’ to portray the difficulties he had while shooting for a film.
