Bullets, glass and stones fly all over North East Delhi — killing 5 and injuring 100

Several shops, vehicles, public buses and houses were set on fire after clashes broke out between pro and anti-CAA protestors on February 24.

Mobs are said to have used stones, pieces of glasses, and guns during the clashes in Northeast Delhi.

Some rioters reportedly tried to set a petrol pump near Bhajanpura on fire.
At least 10 policemen were reportedly injured in the clashes. Journalists and media persons who were covering the violence were also injured

Protestors reportedly vandalised 80% shops in the Maujpur area where anti-CAA violence has broken out.
A night before the clash, over a thousand women began protesting in Jafrabad.

The police imposed Section 144 in 10 locations of Northeast Delhi on February 24.
“We received a total 45 fire calls since yesterday till 3am today; three firemen got injured, one fire tender was set ablaze,” said fire director at Northeast Delhi.

All government and private schools will remain shut in Northeast Delhi on Tuesday.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has shut all gates of Jafrabad, Maujpur-Babarpur, Gokulpuri, Johri Enclave and Shiv Vihar. Trains will terminate at Welcome metro station.
