Apple Unleashed – M1X MacBook Pro, AirPods 3 and more expected to launch today

Apple is all set to kick off its Unleashed event today, where it is expected to unveil its new lineup of MacBook Pro. In addition to this, the Cupertino tech giant is also expected to announce the AirPods 3, the latest iteration of its truly wireless device.

The Apple Unleashed event will begin at 10 am PT (10:30 pm IST) and will be live streamed for all its fans.

The Apple Unleashed event will be live streamed on the company’s website and the Apple TV app.

M1X MacBook Pro

The main highlight of the event is expected to be the redesigned MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro is expected to be launched in 14-inch and 16-inch screen variants, along with a new Apple processor, the M1X.

As per a report by Ming-Chi Kuo, the new MacBook Pro is expected to feature a flat-edged design similar to the iPhone 12, ditching the curves found on the current models.

Another significant change that is expected is the removal of the OLED touchbar and the return to physical function keys. The new MacBook is expected to feature an SD card reader, an HDMI port and a MagSafe port.

The new M1X chipset is an upgraded version of the M1X chipset that was used last year and is expected to feature a 10-core CPU and a 16-core GPU. The 16-inch high-end version is expected to come with a 32-core GPU, offering increased graphic performance.

AirPods 3

Apple is also expected to announce the AirPods 3 at the event. The company was earlier expected to reveal the truly wireless devices along with the iPhone 13 during its September event.

While the AirPods 3 are expected to feature a design similar to the AirPods Pro, the devices are expected to miss out on the active noise cancellation (ANC) feature.

The AirPods 3 case is expected to pack a 20% bigger battery and will be equipped with wireless charging. The earbuds are expected to offer 4.5 hours of usage on a single charge.

Apple Mac mini

Apple may also launch an upgrade to its Mac mini using the same M1X chipset as the new MacBook Pro. In addition to this, the device is also expected to come with design improvements.

The Mac mini is expected to feature four Thunderbolt ports, two USB-A ports, an ethernet port and an HDMI port.
