The tech giant spent millions on lobbying efforts in 2016, outpacing other companies like Amazon and Facebook by millions of dollars.

That's according to the Center for Responsive Politics, which compiled lobbying expenditures from the Senate Office of Public Records up until October 2016. The records show that while Alphabet spent millions this year, it was down from the $16,660,000 it spent in 2015.
