The Kansas City Chiefs sign a player who tweeted his highlight video at them, cut him 3 days later
LaVance Taylor's improbable NFL run has come to an end before it even started.
The Kansas City Chiefs announced Sunday they have waived the undrafted running back, just three days after he tweeted out his highlight video to them and was subsequently signed to the team a day later.
Taylor was a starting running back for Division-II Central Missouri. And although he racked up nearly 2,000 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns last season, like most Division-II players, he went undrafted.
Knowing his NFL dreams were quickly fading, on a whim, Taylor decided to tweet his highlight video out to the Kansas Chiefs Wednesday:
@KCChiefs hey my name is LaVance Taylor and I am currently a free agent and I wanted you to check me out.http://t.co/T8sD9L8pTs
The Chiefs must have been impressed with his 12-minute long highlight reel because, less than 24 hours later, they announced they had signed Taylor to the team:

While Taylor's three-day run with the Chiefs may have come to an end, he took to Twitter to let his followers know that he remains upbeat, and is driven to find a permanent home in the NFL:
Don't let nobody tell you that you can't do something...if you want something bad enough you to believe and go get it period.
