The summer's biggest transfer saga might finally be coming to an end

The saga of Paul Pogba's move to Manchester United from Juventus could finally be coming to end, with Sky Sports reporting that the French international is flying to United to sign his record-breaking contract.

Pogba has spent the last three weeks on holiday, resting in California after a gruelling Euro 2016 tournament in which France made it to the final but lost out to Portugal. Sky Sports says Pogba made a quick trip to a pool-party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Saturday before packing his bags for the UK.

He also spent the weekend at Universal Studios, posting a joke on his Instagram account that he was there to get a "medical check" - likely a reference to his imminent United transfer.

It is still unknown exactly how much money United will pay for Pogba, but it is believed to be around the £100 million ($132 million) mark - a world record for a transfer fee easily beating the £85 million Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale.

But some have already suggested that Pogba is overpriced. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said over the weekend that the money involved was "completely crazy," while ex-United player Paul Scholes said £100 million for Pogba would be a "waste of money" given his relatively low goal scoring rate.

Whether or Pogba turns out to be a money pit, United is in great shape going into the new Premier League season. It beat Galatasaray 5-2 on Saturday in a friendly, with new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic living up to the hype with a brilliant goal just four minutes after he made his debut.

United's first Premiership game is at Bournemouth on August 14, a game Pogba now looks likely to start in.
