And then one fine day, Shashi decides to learn English and joins a course to refrain her husband and daughter from mocking her lack of English skills. And in the process, she ends up gaining self-respect.

Nil Battey Sannata, which is a slang for ‘Good For Nothing’, was a movie released in 2015. Apeksha is a class 10 student who hates studying. More because of her family’s financial status as she understands that she won’t be able to gp for higher studies. Her mother pushes her to study maths but Apeksha believes that she will end up being a maid like her mother. And then, her mother decides to study in her class.
